Bacterial wetwood, bacterial dropsy, or slime is a common disease caused by Lelliottia nimipressuralis, which affects the central core of many conifers and deciduous trees. Representatives this species have been isolated from variety trees showing symptoms disease, as well water and, less commonly, clinical samples.
